The 7 habits of highly effective people
Habit 1:
Habit 2:
Habit 3:
Habit 4:
Habit 5:
Habit 6:
Habit 7:
Habit 1: Be proactive
"habit 1 is the key to unlocking all the other habits and thats why it comes first. it says,"i am the captain of my life. i can choose my attitude. im responsible for my own happiness or unhappiness. i am in the rivers seat of my destiny, not just a passenger."

My reflection is that is one is actually one i agree on you do what you want to do.
Habit 2: Begin with the end in mind
"Control your own destiny or someone else will,"(Jack Welch)

habit two is just trynna perpared you for the best or worst out come
Habit 3: put first things first
"Organize and execute around priorities."

By this habit it just saying to put important things first like don't put parting in front of school or don't but your friends in front of your family . its pretty much just to do things first that you know will be better for you in the end. never let people change what you know your supposed to do first.
Habit 4: Think win-win
"Think win-win or no deal"

This habit is number 4 and it is just wanting you to be positive like always have positive thought like i will win i will win i mean you will lose at times but its best to think you will win.
Habit 5: Seek First To Understand, Then To Be Understood
"Diagnose before you prescribe."

Our education has taught us how to read, write and speak. But who was ever educated in listening? I was, when I studied psychology, but that might be considered a bit late. The people around me had already suffered twenty years of me not listening to them properly!Psychology only taught me techniques; it did not teach me how I could really hear the other person.Covey explicitly puts a focus on listening by heart, which goes further than techniques can take you.Another person – your lover, employee or someone you just met – will notice that you are sincerely interested if he or she experiences that you are listening honestly.Only by listening sincerely will you notice the true feelings and ideas of your friend or colleague. And only this will help you give him or her the best possible advice.
Habit 6: synergize
"the whole is greater the sum of its part (1+1=3)"
is the habit of creative cooperation. It is teamwork, open-mindedness, and the adventure of finding new solutions to old problems. But it doesn't just happen on its own. It's a process, and through that process, people bring all their personal experience and expertise to the table.
Habit 7: Sharpen the Saw
Four Dimensions of Self-Renewal: Physical, Mental, Spiritual, Social/Emotional

Reflection: My overall reflection on the 7 habits of highly effective people is that it actually does work , well it has some good points to it and it would give good advice but at the same time it was kinda stupid cause everyone knows what way to put yourself out there to make yourself look good . no one gonna just go up to a stranger and be like oh i haven't showered or i forgot to do this or stuff that you don tell people.

Three Fundamental Techniques in Handling People
Techniques 1: Don't criticize, condemn or complain.
"If you want to gather honey, don't kick over the beehive."
My reflection on the first fundamental technique on handling people is kind of just saying just listen. Don't be rude actually know whats going on it not ask questions have manners.

Techniques 2: Give honest and sincere appreciation
"The big secret in dealing with people"
My reflection on the second fundamental techniques in handling people is just trying to say if your honest and straight up with you most people like that about someone and will want to come and talk to you more because they know you wont lie to them.

Techniques 3: Arouse in the other person an eager want.
"He who can do this has the whole world with him.He who cannot, walks a lonely way."
My reflection on the third fundamental techniques in handling people is just that i dont know what it means but i have to put a reflection so here it is.
Christmas break                                                                                                            During christmas break i went to Vegas. My family and i stayed at the hooters hotel, it was kind of a round trip i guess you can say.For christmas eve i went to my great grandma house with my moms side of the family. On christmas morning i went to my dad side of the family for a christmas breakfast and later that night my moms brother and sister and there kids come over to my house and we celebrate together. Six ways to make people like you. If you want people to like you……….

Rule 1: Become genuinely interested in other people.
“Do this and you will be welcome anywhere”
“You can make more friends in two months by becoming interested in you”
“Ask questions to other people, questions that they would enjoy answering.”
Reflection: My reflection on what Dale Carnegie said was very meaning for like pretty much all he’s telling you to do is be you , don’t try to be different for anyone . By being you , you will have more friends then you think.
Rule 2:Smile
1)   “Actions speak louder than words, and a smile says, “I like you, you make me happy. I am glad to see you.”
2)   “you don’t feel like smiling? then force yourself to smile.”

3)   “It creates happiness in the home, fosters good will in a business, and is the countersign(witness or indication)or friends.”
rule 3: remember names
1) "A man's name is to him the sweetest and most important sound in any language"
2)"If  you dont remember names, you are headed for trouble"
rule 4: be a good listener, encourage others to talk about themselves.
"If you aspire to be a good conversationalist, be an attentive listener"
"Remember that the man you are talking to is a hundred times more interested in himself and his want and his problems than he is in you and your problems."
rule 5: talk in terms of the other mans interest.
"The royal road to a mans hear is to talk to him about the things he treasures most"

5 steps
1) stay focused, keep touch, and maintain eye contact
2) really listen, don't think about your experience or what you have to say next
3) allow for a period of silence, wait til the other person speaks again.
4)repeat the other persons words or paraphrase it back to them
5) understand the emotions behind the words
Rule 6: Make the other person feel important - and do it sincerely.
"The desire to be important is the deepest urge in human nature."(John Dewey)"helping people feel important and appreciated works magic."
-My reflection on the six rule of making people feel important is good because everyone should feel wanted by someone in life so they could know how it feel and to be able to feel special.

Reflection:My reflection on these six way to make people like you to me are over exaggeration because if you want someone to like you , you have to show them the way you are don't be fronting on who you really are ! be yourself if that person doesnt not like it then maybe you should be friends with them. Their not wrought your time if all they are gonna be doing when you see them is judge you. never let anyone change yourself. So all i really wanted to say was that i dont like these six way to make people like you. some of these rule are common sense.

“The Six Attitudes Of High Achievers”

High Achievers……….
1. Make No Small Plans
These are the people who excel in terms of skills and responsibilities. Results-driven and motivated, they work to a high standard, with little need for supervision or hand-holding.

In 1995, Derek Jeter realized his dream when Yankees shortstop Tony Fernandez was put on the disabled list. Jeter made his big league debut on May 29 of that year, playing against the Seattle Mariners. The following year, in his first full season as a Major League Baseball player, he batted .314 with 10 home runs. The skilled shortstop also performed well in the infield and helped the Yankees win the World Series against the Atlanta Braves. Jeter won the 1996 American League Rookie of the Year Award for his performance that season. Jeter developed into one of baseball's top all-around players and the lynchpin of a perennially dominant Yankees team. He earned his first of 14 All-Star selections in 1998, a season that ended with the first of three straight world championships for the Bronx Bombers. He led the majors in hits and tallied career highs in home runs and RBIs in 1999, and in 2000 he became the first player to be named the All-Star Game and World Series MVP in the same season. Known for his patented "inside-out" swing and acrobatic jump-throws, Jeter developed a reputation as a player who thrived in pressure-packed moments. In perhaps the most famous play of his career, he ran down an errant throw from the outfield and delivered "The Flip" to home plate to record an important out against the Oakland A's in the 2001 playoffs. A few weeks later, he blasted a 10th-inning home run to beat the Arizona Diamondbacks in Game 4 of the World Series. His winning style earned the respect and admiration of coaches, sports commentators, peers and fans, and he was named team captain in 2003. jeter suffered his first major injury that season when a collision left him with a separated shoulder, but he was as good as ever after returning. He won the first of five gold glove awards for fielding excellence in 2004, and in 2006 he finished second in the voting for the league MVP award .In September 2009, Jeter passed lou gehrig with his 2,722nd hit -- the most in franchise history -- before earning his fifth world championship ring at the end of the season. In July 2011, he homered to become the 28th player in history to reach 3,000 career ,Limited to just 17 games in 2013 due to a lingering ankle injury, Jeter announced he would be retiring after the 2014 season, his 20th in the majors. Although his numbers were well below his usual lofty standards, "The Captain" proved he could still rise to the occasion for big moments. He started a rally for the American League with a leadoff double in the All-Star Game, and knocked home the game-winning run in his final at-bat at Yankee Stadium in September. In addition to his five world championships, Jeter finished with an impressive .310 lifetime batting average, and his 3,465 hits ranked sixth in big league history.
2. Do What They Fear
Martin Luther King, Jr. he did “what they fear” In the 1960 he took a stand to get the right for those who were treated differently. Those man and women that were told they had rights but in reality had none. He did not use violence to get what he wanted. He just wanted to he heard to be brave to stand up for those who were to scared to stand up for themselves. Just wanted to make a change that would people those that needed there rights

4. Are willing to risk failure
yes. I am willing to risk failure. You have to in life. life is crazy and there a risk everyday weather you want there to be or not. In life your taking risk every day either is a risk that is good or it’s a risk that can cost you everything but its mostly a good risk.
chris angel is someone who takes risk doing his job every day just to people smile and be scared at the same time.. Criss Angel, the most famous magician on the planet presents CRISS ANGEL Believe, an illusion spectacular at the Luxor Hotel & Casino, Las Vegas. Now let the magic live in you...

5.Are Teachable
Being teachable is to be willing to be teached by anyone, on anything and just to have an open mind in being showed how to do something.to not get mad if you don’t get it just to keep asking questions. just like when my dad drops me off in the mornings to school he tell me “just to keep asking question even though your teacher might get mad or annoyed and even though it might be stupid question to the rest of the question. it doesn’t matter as long as you get it don’t worry about what others think about you”.
One looks back with appreciation to the brilliant teachers, but with gratitude to those who touched our human feelings. The curriculum is so much necessary raw material, but warmth is the vital element for the growing plant and for the soul of the child.

6.Have Heart

-to be compassionate; to be generous and forgiving; to have an especially compassionate heart.
to have an heart is to be able to have feeling and tell other people feelings and to know people feelings and how to be about to be there to help people with there feeling and what might be going though. just to help them and care for them and everything to make them feel good .But having a heart is a weakness because you might just open your heart to someone how you know is just gonna play with it . even though they say there not it would be a good thing for you to put some walls up to protect your heart from getting crushed. it will hurt so much but life will hurt you no matter what so always have you head up high and a couple of wallls just to be safe .
